Royal Society of Chemistry funded Lab!

We are delighted to have secured Royal Society of Chemistry funding for a new Chemistry themed Virtual Lab. This will enable more budding scientists with SEND to explore the exciting world of chemistry!

The Virtual Lab takes place via Zoom with our STEM Lead, Dr Sarah Bearchell developing and delivering content and a Lightyear Foundation Volunteer supporting on Zoom and with evaluation. 4 groups of 6 young people with Special Educational Needs, supported by classroom staff will take part in the sessions.

The Lab will deliver interactive Sensory Science experiments that explore absorbency, chromatography, making predictions and recording results!
