Lightyear Foundation is constantly recruiting; we advertise specific volunteer vacancies on twitter and facebook.
Generally we are looking for:
Science Camp Volunteers: scientists, non-scientists, geeks, teachers and communicators with endless energy to go to Ghana to teach science in an inspiring way. Volunteers need to be able to commit at least a week of time abroad for the project and time beforehand to plan lessons and activities.
Science on a Shoestring Volunteers: all of the above but based at home in front of your computer. Volunteers design experiments that can be done with limited or no equipment in developing countries.
General Lightyear Helpers: running a charity takes time and there are always things to be done. If you can spare a bit of time and would like to learn some new skills like logistics planning (!), budgeting, media, schmoozing funders…then get in touch!
We always welcome offers of skills, expertise and enthusiasm so please get in touch if you would like to help the Lightyear Foundation.
